The NORTON 61463624501 is a cylinder-shaped mounted point abrasive designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing in tight or contoured areas. It features an aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded with a vitrified bond, producing consistent stock removal on ferrous metals and hard materials. The 60 grit medium grade balances cut rate with surface finish quality, making it a practical choice for general-purpose grinding tasks. The 1/8 inch shank mounts directly into a rotary tool, die grinder, or collet-equipped machine. This mounted point is sold individually and is rated to a maximum of 75,330 RPM.
This mounted point is used in metal fabrication shops, tool and die applications, maintenance and repair operations, and production grinding environments. It is well suited for grinding inside bores, cleaning weld seams, shaping hard materials, and finishing surfaces in areas a flat wheel cannot reach. Machinists, tool grinders, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary users. The cylinder W160 profile provides full-face contact on flat or slightly curved surfaces, and the medium brown aluminum oxide grain is appropriate for carbon steel, alloy steel, and similar materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit mounted point for die grinders, rotary tools, and collet-equipped grinding machines accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Mounted points must be installed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive safety standards. Confirm the spindle speed of the tool does not exceed the 75,330 RPM rating marked on this point before use. Inspect the mounted point for cracks or chips before mounting, and never use a damaged abrasive. Secure the shank fully in the collet and run the tool in a protected area for a brief trial spin before applying it to the workpiece.
