The NORTON 08834166900 is a Type II quick-change coated abrasive disc designed for handheld disc sanders used in metal fabrication, maintenance, and surface preparation work. The disc measures 2 inches in diameter and features an 80-grit aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to a Y-weight 2-ply polyester and cloth backing. The coated construction delivers a faster cut rate and extended disc life compared to lighter backing materials. At a maximum rating of 30,000 RPM, this disc is suited for aggressive deburring, cleaning, and detailing operations on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary users of this disc.

This disc is intended for use on 300 series stainless steel, brass, bronze, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, and titanium. Compatibility

Installation Notes

Install and remove the disc with the sander powered off and disconnected from its power source. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace immediately if cracks, tears, or delamination are observed.
