The NORGREN R74G-6AK-RMN is a standard compressed air regulator designed to maintain consistent downstream pressure in pneumatic systems. Built around a zinc body, it accepts 3/4 inch NPTF end connections and handles supply pressures up to 300 psi. The adjustable pressure range runs from 5 to 150 psi, and maximum flow capacity reaches 220 CFM, making it well-suited for high-demand compressed air circuits. A built-in relief function vents excess downstream pressure when the set point is exceeded. A 1/4 inch gauge port is included for optional pressure gauge installation. Pipefitters, millwrights, and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers for this class of regulator.
The R74G-6AK-RMN fits into compressed air distribution systems in industrial, manufacturing, and commercial facility environments. It is part of the NORGREN R74G series, which is designed for modular connection, allowing integration into filter-regulator-lubricator assemblies or standalone inline installation. Typical applications include machine tool air supply, pneumatic actuator circuits, and production line air conditioning. The regulator handles compressed air service and is rated for operating temperatures as low as -30 degrees F, supporting outdoor and cold-environment installations.
Designed for use in compressed air service applications requiring a 3/4 inch NPTF inline or modular regulator. Part of the NORGREN R74G series and compatible with modular FRL component configurations that accept R74G series connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or pneumatic systems technician. Isolate and depressurize the air supply line completely before beginning work. Apply thread sealant appropriate for compressed air service to NPTF fittings per shop or facility standards. Verify downstream pressure setting with a calibrated gauge before returning the system to service.
