The NORGREN 102471238 is a 90-degree swivel elbow adapter designed for push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid tubing systems. It connects 12 mm outside diameter tubing to a male BSPP threaded port, allowing a right-angle change in line direction without a fixed, rigid joint. The swivel design lets the tube side rotate after assembly, simplifying routing in tight spaces. Constructed from nickel-plated brass, it holds a maximum working pressure of 260 psi and tolerates temperatures from 0 degrees F to 175 degrees F. An internal nitrile O-ring provides the primary seal. HVAC technicians, pneumatic system installers, and fluid power mechanics are the typical trades working with this fitting.
This adapter is suited for general-purpose pneumatic and low-pressure fluid lines in both residential and light commercial applications. It is commonly installed where a compressed air or control-line circuit requires a 90-degree turn at a male BSPP port, such as on valve bodies, manifolds, cylinders, or equipment panels. The push-to-connect end accepts 12 mm OD tubing, making it straightforward to terminate without additional tools beyond standard tube cutters to ensure a clean, square cut.
Designed for general-purpose pneumatic and fluid systems using 12 mm OD tubing and male BSPP-threaded ports. Confirm thread form and tubing outside diameter before installation, as BSPP is not interchangeable with NPT or SAE straight threads.
Depressurize and lock out the system before removing or installing any fitting. Use a clean, square tube cut to ensure the push-to-connect collet seats properly and the internal O-ring seals without damage. Apply thread sealant compatible with nitrile and brass to the male BSPP threads per the equipment manufacturer's instructions. Verify the installed assembly does not exceed the 260 psi pressure rating or the 175 degrees F temperature limit for the intended service.
