The NORGREN 101470838 is a 90-degree swivel elbow push-to-connect tube fitting designed for use in pneumatic plumbing and fluid-control systems. It connects a push-to-connect tube port to a male BSPT threaded port, allowing quick, tool-free tube insertion on one end and a threaded connection on the other. The fitting is constructed from nickel-plated brass and is rated to a maximum working pressure of 260 psi. The swivel elbow design allows the threaded end to rotate during installation, making it easier to align tube runs without twisting the tubing. Licensed trades and industrial service technicians install this fitting in pneumatic lines, compressed-air circuits, and fluid-transfer systems.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial pneumatic or fluid-distribution applications where a 90-degree directional change is needed between a push-to-connect tube line and a male BSPT-threaded port. The 8 mm outside diameter tube size is a common metric tube dimension used in pneumatic control and instrumentation lines. The nitrile O-ring provides reliable sealing across a wide service temperature range, from 0 degrees F to 175 degrees F, making it appropriate for both refrigerated and ambient-temperature system environments.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic and fluid-transfer systems using 8 mm outside diameter tubing and male BSPT-threaded ports.
Depressurize and isolate the pneumatic or fluid circuit completely before removing or installing any fitting. Hand-tighten the BSPT threaded end first, then use an appropriately sized wrench to achieve a secure, leak-free connection — do not over-torque brass fittings. To seat the push-to-connect end, insert the tube firmly until it bottoms out; to release, depress the collet ring and pull the tube straight out. Verify all connections are leak-free before returning the system to service.
