The NORDIC PURE 8x20x1M7+C-12 is a pleated MERV 7 air filter with activated carbon, sold in a 12-pack. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures large airborne particulates. A flat activated carbon panel is bonded to the media to attract and hold odorous gases, vapors, and volatile organic compounds. The result is improved indoor air quality with each pass through the HVAC system. The filter uses a heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame and a bonded metal mesh support grid for structural integrity. Antimicrobial treatment prevents bacteria and mold growth within the filter media. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable DIYers install this filter in residential forced-air systems.
This filter is designed for residential and light commercial forced-air heating and cooling systems where both particulate control and odor reduction are required. Nominal size is 8x20x1 inches with an actual size of 7.69 x 19.69 x 0.75 inches, so always verify the opening dimensions before ordering. The MERV 7 rating makes it effective at capturing lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, and similar contaminants. The added carbon layer addresses smoke particles, odors, and VOC gases. Nordic Pure rates this filter as equivalent to an MPR 600 filter. The 12-pack format supports a full year of replacements on a 30-to-90-day change schedule.
Designed as a standard 8x20x1 nominal replacement filter for residential and light commercial forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems that accept a 1-inch pleated filter. Actual dimensions are 7.69 x 19.69 x 0.75 inches; confirm the actual opening size before installation.
Power down the air handler or furnace before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction and orient the new filter so the arrow on the frame points toward the blower. Filters should be replaced every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor conditions, occupancy, and pet presence. During home renovations or high-dust periods, more frequent changes are recommended.
