The NORDIC PURE 25x25x1M14+C-3 is a MERV 14 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 3-pack for residential and commercial HVAC applications. The electrostatically charged synthetic media captures fine airborne particulates while the activated carbon panel adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The heavy-duty beverage board frame is moisture resistant, and a bonded metal mesh support grid reinforces the pleats under airflow pressure. The antimicrobial filter media inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold within the filter itself. At MERV 14, this filter is rated equivalent to MPR 2800 and is designed for high-efficiency systems capable of handling that level of filtration resistance.
This filter is suited for residential and light-commercial forced-air heating and cooling systems where both fine particulate control and odor reduction are priorities. It captures airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, dust mite debris, smoke particles, lint, bacteria, and smog. Because MERV 14 increases static pressure drop across the air handler, it is best installed in newer, high-efficiency HVAC systems rated to accommodate MERV 14 or higher. Filters should be replaced every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions. Nordic Pure recommends verifying the actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size before installation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated filter for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems with filter slots sized for a 25x25x1 nominal filter. Actual size is 24.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches. Verify slot dimensions before ordering. Suitable for high-efficiency systems rated to handle MERV 14 and above.
Installation of air filters should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or a knowledgeable owner following system manufacturer guidelines. Always power down the HVAC system at the thermostat and, when practical, at the disconnect before removing or installing a filter. Confirm airflow direction by matching the arrow printed on the filter frame to the direction of airflow toward the blower. Due to the higher pressure drop of MERV 14 media, do not install in systems not rated for high-MERV filtration, as restricted airflow can cause heat exchanger or evaporator coil damage over time.
