The NORDIC PURE 24x30x1M7-3 is a pleated MERV 7 air filter sold in a 3-pack, designed for use in residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. The filter media is electrostatically charged and carries an antimicrobial, hypoallergenic treatment to capture large airborne particles such as household dust, pollen, mold spores, and pet dander while resisting bacterial and mold growth on the media itself. The frame is constructed from heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board. Nominal size is 24x30x1 inches; actual size is 23.5 x 29.5 x 0.75 inches. Licensed HVAC technicians and facilities maintenance professionals are the typical installers.
This filter is suited for standard 1-inch filter slots in residential gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems where a MERV 7 rating meets the system manufacturer's requirement. It is also appropriate for light commercial air handlers in office and retail environments. MERV 7 performance is equivalent to the MPR 600 rating scale used by some other manufacturers. The ASHRAE-standard MERV rating measures filtration efficiency across particle size ranges, making cross-brand comparison straightforward. Filters should be replaced every 1 to 3 months depending on occupancy, pet presence, and local air quality conditions.
Designed as a replacement for standard 1-inch nominal 24x30x1 filter slots in residential and light commercial forced-air furnaces, central air conditioners, and heat pump air handlers. Verify the actual slot dimension against the filter actual size of 23.5 x 29.5 x 0.75 inches before installation.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified maintenance professional. Set the system thermostat to the off position and shut down power at the disconnect or breaker before replacing the filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and align it with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Inspect the filter slot and housing for bypasses or damaged seals that would allow unfiltered air to enter the system.
