The NORDIC PURE 24x24x4M7-1 is a MERV 7 pleated air filter designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems, including central air conditioners and gas or electric furnaces. With a nominal size of 24x24x4 inches and an actual size of 23.38 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches, this filter uses electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic synthetic media to capture airborne particulates in the 3.0 to 10.0 micron range. The media is antimicrobial, preventing bacterial and mold growth on the filter surface. A heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame and a bonded metal mesh support grid keep the pleats structurally sound throughout the service cycle.
This filter is suited for residential homes and light-commercial environments where moderate particulate control is the priority. It targets common contaminants including household dust, lint, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, and bacteria. At MERV 7, it outperforms standard fiberglass, poly disposable, and washable filter options without imposing excessive static pressure on typical residential air handlers. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months, though replacement intervals will vary based on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions, occupancy, and renovation activity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated air filter for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems accepting a nominal 24x24x4 inch filter. Verify the actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 23.38 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches before installation, as nominal and actual dimensions differ on nearly all furnace and air handler filter configurations.
Filter installation and replacement is typically performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel, though experienced homeowners routinely handle filter changes. Always shut down the air handler or furnace at the thermostat and, where applicable, at the disconnect switch before removing the old filter. Insert the new filter with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower and away from the return air duct. Dispose of the used filter promptly to avoid redistributing captured particulates into the work area.
