The NORDIC PURE 24x24x1M7-4 is a pleated MERV 7 air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. Sold in a 4-pack, each filter measures 23.38 x 23.38 x 0.75 inches actual size with a nominal size of 24x24x1 inches. The filter media is electrostatically charged and antimicrobial, capturing large airborne particles such as household dust, pollen, mold spores, and pet dander on each pass. The moisture-resistant beverage board frame holds its shape under normal HVAC static pressure. MERV 7 performance is comparable to MPR 600 on competing rating scales. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners both commonly install this filter type.
This filter fits standard 24x24x1 inch filter slots found in residential gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems. It is also suitable for light commercial air handlers where a 24x24x1 nominal slot is used. The MERV 7 rating makes it appropriate for environments with moderate dust loads, pet dander, or occupant allergy concerns. Replacement every 1 to 3 months is typical, with more frequent changes recommended in homes with pets or high-dust conditions such as active renovation work. The 4-pack format supports a full season of scheduled filter changes with a single order.
Designed as a direct replacement for any HVAC system requiring a nominal 24x24x1 inch pleated air filter. Verify the actual slot dimensions against the filter actual size of 23.38 x 23.38 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ across manufacturers.
Power down or set the thermostat to the off position before removing the old filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating through the air handler. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and align it toward the blower or furnace. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates. Follow the equipment manufacturer service interval recommendations and local IAQ guidelines when establishing a change schedule.
