The NORDIC PURE 20x36x1CustomM14+C-6 is a custom-cut, pleated MERV 14 plus carbon air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Measuring 19.5 x 35.5 x 0.75 inches actual size, this filter uses electrostatically charged synthetic media combined with an activated carbon layer to capture a broad spectrum of airborne particulates and odors. MERV 14 filtration captures over 90% of particles between 1 and 10 microns, and 75% to 95% of particles between 0.3 and 1 micron. Licensed HVAC technicians and experienced homeowners install this filter in furnace and air handler return-air slots as a high-efficiency replacement for standard fiberglass or poly disposable filters. Sold in a box of 6 filters.
This filter is suited for residential forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems where occupants have elevated sensitivity to allergens, odors, smoke, or biological contaminants such as mold spores and bacteria. The 20x36x1 nominal size is a custom dimension, manufactured by cutting or combining standard filter frames to fit non-standard filter housings. Because this is a custom-made product, it is not eligible for returns. Installers should measure the existing filter slot carefully before ordering. The actual filter dimensions are 19.5 x 35.5 x 0.75 inches; the filter should seat within 0.125 inches of the slot opening on each side.
Designed as a custom OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light commercial forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems with a 20x36x1 nominal filter slot. Custom sizes are not interchangeable with standard-size filters; verify actual slot dimensions before installation.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified service professionals. Always shut down the furnace or air handler at the thermostat and disconnect power at the breaker before opening the filter compartment. Confirm airflow direction before seating the filter, as the arrow printed on the frame must point toward the blower. Replace every 30 to 90 days; high-dust or high-occupancy environments typically require more frequent changes.
