The NORDIC PURE 20x36x1CustomM14-6 is a custom-cut pleated air filter rated MERV 14, designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems including central air conditioners and gas or electric furnaces. Sold as a 6-pack with a nominal size of 20x36x1 inches and an actual size of 19.5 x 35.5 x 0.75 inches, each filter features an electrostatically charged synthetic media that captures over 90 percent of airborne particles between 1 and 10 microns, and 75 to 95 percent of particles between 0.3 and 1 micron. The heavy-duty beverage board frame is moisture resistant and built for consistent performance over the filter life. Licensed HVAC technicians and qualified installers handle this type of filter replacement as part of routine system maintenance.
This filter is suited for high-efficiency residential and commercial HVAC systems that are rated to handle MERV 14 filtration or higher. At MERV 14, airflow restriction increases compared to lower-rated filters, so the system must be capable of operating with this filter class before installation. The custom construction means each unit is hand-made to the exact listed dimensions. Nordic Pure recommends replacing the filter every 1 to 3 months depending on environment, with more frequent changes advised in homes with pets or occupants who have allergies. This filter is comparable to MPR 2800 rated filters as measured by alternate industry scales.
Designed as a custom OEM-style replacement air filter for residential and commercial HVAC systems - including central furnaces and air conditioners - that are rated to accept MERV 14 filters or higher. Verify your system specifications before installing a MERV 14 filter, as high-efficiency systems designed for HEPA-class filtration are best suited for this rating.
Filter replacement is a routine maintenance task performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel. Power down the HVAC system at the thermostat and disconnect power at the unit before removing the old filter. Install the new filter with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower. Because this is a custom-made filter, confirm the actual dimensions of your existing filter before ordering - custom sizes cannot be exchanged or returned.
