The NORDIC PURE 20x30x1PM12C-3 is a MERV 12 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, designed for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems including gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning units. The dual-material construction fuses the MERV-rated filtration media with a carbon layer, reducing flow restriction while adding 33% more surface area compared to a single-layer pleated design. Activated carbon captures odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) while the pleated media traps fine airborne particulates. The filter measures 19.63 x 29.63 x 0.75 inches actual size and is sold in a 3-pack. Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or knowledgeable homeowners during routine filter service.
This filter is suited for residential homes, apartments, and small commercial spaces where both odor control and high-particulate filtration are priorities. Typical applications include systems serving households with pets, smokers, allergy sufferers, or occupants sensitive to VOCs and airborne contaminants. It captures lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, bacteria, and allergens. Nordic Pure rates this filter as equivalent to the MPR 1500-1900 range. The 3-pack format supports a standard 30-to-90-day replacement schedule across one filter season. It fits standard 20x30x1 nominal filter slots.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated filter for residential and light-commercial forced-air systems using a standard 20x30x1 nominal filter slot. Actual installed dimensions are 19.63 x 29.63 x 0.75 inches; verify the actual opening size before installation, as nominal and actual filter dimensions differ across equipment brands.
Power down or set the thermostat to the off position before opening the filter compartment. Confirm airflow direction by matching the arrow printed on the filter frame to the direction of airflow into the air handler or furnace. Replace every 30 to 90 days under normal operating conditions, or more frequently during periods of high dust load such as home renovations. Disposal of used filters follows standard solid-waste procedures; no special handling is required.
