The NORDIC PURE 20x24x4M10-1 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter designed for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems. The filter uses electrostatically charged synthetic media to capture airborne particulates on each pass. It removes pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, bacteria, and virus carriers. The media is hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and rated to capture more than 85% of 3.0-10.0 micron contaminants and up to 65% of 1.0-3.0 micron contaminants. A heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame and an internal metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats keep the filter structurally sound under normal airflow conditions. This filter is made in the USA.
This filter fits air handler and furnace filter slots calling for a 20x24x4 nominal size. The actual dimensions are 19.38 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches, so measure the filter slot before ordering to confirm fit. Typical applications include residential gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems where occupants want improved filtration over fiberglass or poly disposable media. NORDIC PURE rates this MERV 10 filter as equivalent to MPR 1000, making it a direct performance comparison for systems previously running filters in that MPR range. Replacement interval is typically every 3 to 6 months depending on household conditions, pet traffic, and local air quality.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for residential and light commercial forced-air systems requiring a 20x24x4 nominal filter size. Actual size is 19.38 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches. Confirm slot dimensions before installation, as nominal and actual filter sizes are not always equal across manufacturers.
Power down the air handler or furnace at the thermostat and disconnect the system before opening the filter compartment. Install with the airflow arrow on the filter frame pointing toward the blower and away from the return air duct. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates. Change the filter every 3 to 6 months, or more frequently in homes with pets, high dust, or ongoing renovation work.
