The NORDIC PURE 20x24x1M12-24 is a pleated MERV 12 air filter sold in a 24-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. The filter media is electrostatically charged and rated to capture lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, and other airborne contaminants. The nominal size is 20x24x1 inches with an actual size of 19.5 x 23.44 x 0.75 inches. A moisture-resistant beverage board frame adds structural durability across typical HVAC operating conditions. Made in the USA, this filter is manufactured to ASHRAE MERV standards.
This filter is suited for residential homes and light commercial spaces where moderate-to-high air quality is a priority. It is appropriate for systems serving occupants with moderate allergies or asthma and environments with pets. MERV 12 performance is equivalent to MPR 1500-1900 on proprietary rating scales used by some other manufacturers. Filter replacement every one to three months is typical, with more frequent changes recommended in high-dust environments, pet households, or during renovation activity. The 24-pack format reduces reorder frequency for property managers and service contractors maintaining multiple units.
Designed as a direct replacement for nominal 20x24x1 air filter slots in residential and light commercial forced-air furnaces and central air conditioning systems. Verify actual slot dimensions against the stated actual size of 19.5 x 23.44 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual filter sizes often differ across equipment brands.
Air filter replacement is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified property maintenance personnel and does not require specialized tools. Always power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.
