The NORDIC PURE 20x22x1M7-3 is a MERV 7 pleated air filter sold in a 3-pack for use in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Each filter measures 19.5 x 21.44 x 0.75 inches actual size with a nominal size of 20x22x1. The electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic filter media captures large airborne particles including household dust, pollen, mold spores, lint, and pet dander on every pass through the air handler or furnace. The moisture-resistant beverage board frame holds its shape under normal system static pressure and will not promote bacterial or mold growth on the media surface.
This filter fits standard 20x22x1 nominal filter slots in residential gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems. It is also suitable for light commercial air handlers where MERV 7 filtration is specified. MERV 7 performance is rated equivalent to MPR 600 on the Microparticle Performance Rating scale used by some manufacturers, though filtration efficiency is governed by ASHRAE test standards regardless of the rating label used. Installation requires no tools and is appropriate for any technician or knowledgeable homeowner performing routine filter maintenance. Filters should be replaced every 1 to 3 months depending on the environment, with more frequent changes recommended in homes with pets or occupants with allergies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for any residential or light commercial HVAC system, furnace, or air handler that accepts a standard 20x22x1 nominal filter. Verify actual filter slot dimensions against the stated actual size of 19.5 x 21.44 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ across manufacturers.
Filter replacement is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified homeowners as part of routine preventive maintenance. Always shut off the furnace or air handler at the equipment disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Insert the new filter with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower, away from the return air duct. Dispose of the used filter promptly to avoid redistributing captured particulates.
