The NORDIC PURE 20x20x5HM14+C-2 is a MERV 14 pleated plus carbon replacement furnace and air handler filter sold in a 2-pack. It uses electrostatically charged synthetic media combined with an activated carbon flat panel to capture airborne particulates and adsorb odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The nominal size is 20x20x5 inches with an actual size of 19.63 x 19.88 x 4.38 inches. The frame is constructed from moisture-resistant beverage board with a bonded metal mesh support grid. This filter is installed by HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners servicing forced-air heating and cooling systems.
This filter fits deep-media filter housings that accept a nominal 20x20x5 filter with an actual depth of 4.38 inches. It is designed as a direct replacement for Honeywell and Lennox deep-media filter systems, and is also compatible with Carrier and Bryant housings that accept this actual size. Always verify actual filter dimensions against the housing before ordering, as nominal sizes vary by manufacturer. Suitable for residential forced-air systems where both high-efficiency particulate capture and odor control are required.
Designed to replace Honeywell 20x20x4 deep-media filters and other brand housings with an actual filter depth of 4.38 inches, including Lennox, Carrier, and Bryant systems that accept a nominal 20x20x5 filter. Always measure the existing filter or housing to confirm the actual size before installation.
Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect before replacing the filter. Confirm airflow direction marked on the filter frame aligns with system airflow before seating the filter in the housing. Deep-media filter housings typically require no tools for filter replacement but should be inspected for bypass gaps or damaged gaskets during each service interval. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months depending on indoor air quality conditions and system runtime.
