The NORDIC PURE 20x20x1PM10C-12 is a pleated MERV 10 air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 12-pack with a nominal size of 20x20x1 inches and an actual size of 19.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches. The dual-material construction fuses a MERV-rated pleated media with a carbon layer, reducing flow restriction while adding 33 percent more surface area compared to standard pleated filters. The activated carbon captures odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) while the electrostatically charged media traps airborne particulates. Licensed HVAC technicians and HVAC service professionals install this filter in residential and light-commercial forced-air systems.
This filter is suited for residential and light-commercial HVAC applications where both particulate removal and odor control are required. It performs well in homes with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergies. The MERV 10 rating means it captures lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, and similar contaminants with each pass through the air handler or furnace. Nordic Pure rates this filter equivalent to MPR 1000. Recommended replacement interval is every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light-commercial forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and HVAC systems that accept a standard 20x20x1 nominal filter. Verify the actual slot dimension against the filter actual size of 19.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches before installation.
Power down the furnace or air handler at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Verify airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Filters in this size category are typically serviced by HVAC technicians or knowledgeable homeowners with no special tools required. Replace every 30 to 90 days or more frequently in high-dust or high-odor environments to maintain system efficiency.
