The NORDIC PURE 20x20x1M7+C-4 is a pleated MERV 7 air filter with activated carbon, sold in a 4-pack. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures airborne particulates including lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, mold spores, pet dander, bacteria, and smoke particles. A flat panel infused with activated charcoal addresses odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by attracting and holding them within the carbon layer. The antimicrobial media resists bacterial and mold growth. Rated MERV 7, this filter is equivalent to an MPR 600 rating and is designed for residential HVAC systems where both particulate capture and odor control are priorities.
This filter fits standard 20x20x1 nominal filter slots found in residential furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems. It is suited for homes with pets, smokers, or occupants sensitive to airborne odors and particulates. The filter is appropriate for installation by HVAC technicians or knowledgeable homeowners performing routine filter maintenance. Replacement is recommended every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions, with more frequent changes advised during home renovation or high-dust periods.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential furnace and air handler filter slots with a nominal size of 20x20x1. Verify the actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 19.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ.
Filter installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified homeowners during routine maintenance. Power down the furnace or air handler at the thermostat and disconnect power at the breaker before opening the filter cabinet. Insert the filter with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower and away from the return air duct. Inspect and replace the filter every 30 to 90 days to maintain system efficiency and indoor air quality.
