The NORDIC PURE 18x25x1M8MiniPleat-4 is a MERV 8 mini pleat air filter sold in a 4-pack for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The filter uses a self-supporting polyester media with 2.5 times more pleats than standard filters, increasing surface area for more effective particle capture while keeping static pressure low. A two-part, moisture-resistant beverage board frame holds the media firmly and resists degradation in humid conditions. The actual size is 17.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches, which differs from the nominal size of 18 x 25 x 1 inches printed on the frame. HVAC technicians and service professionals should always verify the actual filter slot dimensions before ordering.
This filter is suited for forced-air residential furnaces and central air conditioning systems where a balance of filtration efficiency and airflow is required. Typical applications include single-family homes, multi-unit residential buildings, and light commercial air handlers that accept a 1-inch nominal filter. The MERV 8 rating makes it effective at capturing lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, and mold spores without overloading standard residential blower motors. Nordic Pure recommends a replacement interval of every 2 to 3 months, adjusted based on occupancy, pet presence, and indoor air quality conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial HVAC systems that accept a nominal 18x25x1 inch filter. Always confirm the actual filter slot measurement is compatible with the 17.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inch actual size before installation.
Filter installation is a standard HVAC maintenance task performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified service professionals. Set the system thermostat to the off position and confirm the air handler has stopped before removing the existing filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and align it with the direction of airflow into the blower. Replace filters every 2 to 3 months under normal operating conditions or more frequently in high-dust or high-occupancy environments.
