The NORDIC PURE 18x25x1M14+C-3 is a MERV 14 pleated air filter with activated carbon, sold in a 3-pack. The filter combines electrostatically charged, antimicrobial synthetic media with a flat activated carbon panel to capture fine airborne particulates and adsorb odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Rated at MERV 14, it captures airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke particles, dust mite debris, bacteria, and smog. The nominal size is 18x25x1 inches with an actual size of 17.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches. The heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame includes a bonded metal mesh support grid to maintain pleat integrity under airflow.

This filter is intended for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems, including central air conditioning and gas or electric furnaces. It is particularly well suited to newer, high-efficiency systems designed to accept MERV 14 and higher filters. The added activated carbon layer makes it appropriate for installations where odor control is a priority alongside fine-particulate filtration, such as homes with pets, smokers, or recent renovation activity. Because MERV 14 carries higher airflow restriction than lower-rated filters, the HVAC system must be rated to handle MERV 14 or above before installation.

Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel. Always shut down the HVAC system at the thermostat and disconnect power at the breaker before opening the filter compartment. Note the airflow direction arrow on the filter frame and orient it so the arrow points toward the blower. Replace the filter every 30 to 90 days, or more frequently during periods of heavy use or active home renovation.
