The NORDIC PURE 18x24x4M15-2 is a MERV 15 pleated air filter sold in a 2-pack, designed for residential and commercial forced-air HVAC systems that are rated to handle high-efficiency filtration. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material with antimicrobial treatment that captures more than 90% of particulates in the 1.0-10.0 micron range and up to 85% of particulates in the 0.30-1.0 micron range. Targeted contaminants include airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke, smog, dust mite debris, bacteria, and virus carriers. The nominal size is 18x24x4 inches, with an actual size of 17.5 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable facility maintenance personnel typically install and replace these filters.

This filter is suited for newer, high-efficiency residential furnaces and air handlers, as well as commercial units rated for MERV 15 filtration and above. Because of the elevated air flow restriction associated with MERV 15 media, the HVAC system must be rated to support this filtration level before installation. Systems currently using HEPA-style filters are strong candidates for this replacement.
