The NORDIC PURE 18x20x1M13+C-3 is a MERV 13 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 3-pack with a nominal size of 18x20x1 inches and an actual size of 17.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches. The electrostatically charged synthetic media captures fine airborne particulates while the activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Designed for residential forced-air HVAC systems, this filter is installed by HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners as a direct drop-in replacement during routine maintenance. The combination of mechanical filtration at MERV 13 efficiency and carbon odor control makes it suited for environments where both particulate and odor management are priorities.
This filter is rated for residential and light commercial forced-air applications where superior particulate capture and odor reduction are required. Typical use cases include homes with pets, smokers, allergy sufferers, or occupants sensitive to VOCs and household odors. The 3-pack format supports scheduled filter rotation. MERV 13 performance is comparable to filters rated MPR 2200-2400. The filter media is hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, resisting bacterial and mold growth on the filter surface between change intervals. Recommended change interval is every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor conditions and usage.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light commercial forced-air heating and cooling systems that accept a nominal 18x20x1 inch filter. Verify actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 17.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ.
Filter installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or a knowledgeable service professional. Always shut off the air handler or furnace at the unit disconnect before removing or installing the filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the filter so the arrow points toward the blower or downstream of the return air duct. Change the filter every 30 to 90 days to maintain system airflow and filtration efficiency, and more frequently during renovation activity or high-dust conditions.
