The NORDIC PURE 18x20x1M13+C-24 is a pleated MERV 13 air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sized at 18x20x1 inches nominal (actual size 17.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches) and sold in a 24-pack. The electrostatically charged synthetic media captures airborne particulates down to the MERV 13 threshold, while a flat panel infused with activated charcoal adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The result is a filter that addresses both particulate load and odor in a single-stage media. This filter is rated equivalent to MPR 2200-2400. HVAC technicians and service professionals specify this filter for residential forced-air systems where both high filtration efficiency and odor control are required.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air heating and cooling systems using a standard 1-inch filter slot. It targets environments with elevated odor concerns such as pet households, light smokers, or properties near traffic and industrial sources. The 24-pack format supports multi-unit service routes or bulk stocking for a single property on a regular replacement schedule. Typical installations include gas furnaces, air handlers, and central AC systems where a 18x20x1 nominal filter is specified. The high media surface area of the pleated design maintains low pressure drop even at MERV 13 efficiency.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems requiring a 18x20x1 nominal size filter slot. Verify the actual opening dimension against the filter actual size of 17.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual filter dimensions differ.
Filter replacement is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified service professional. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before replacing the filter. Install with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower and away from the return air duct. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 30 to 90 days depending on system runtime, occupancy, and local air quality conditions.
