Nordic Pure 18x18x1M14+C-24 Merv 14 Carbon Air Filter 24pk

Product Description

The NORDIC PURE 18x18x1M14+C-24 is a MERV 14 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 24-pack. Each filter measures 17.75 x 17.75 x 0.75 inches actual size, fitting standard 18x18x1 nominal filter openings. The electrostatically charged synthetic media captures fine airborne particulates while the activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). HVAC technicians and facility maintenance professionals install these in high-efficiency residential and light commercial systems that are rated to handle MERV 14 filtration and above. The antimicrobial media inhibits bacterial and mold growth within the filter itself.

These filters are suited for residential and light commercial HVAC applications where both particulate capture and odor control are required. The MERV 14 rating makes them appropriate for newer, high-efficiency forced-air heating and cooling systems. They are not recommended for older or low-static-pressure systems that cannot handle the increased airflow restriction associated with MERV 14 and higher ratings. A replacement interval of every 30 to 90 days is recommended depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions, with more frequent changes advised during renovation or construction activity.

Key Features

• MERV 14 electrostatically charged synthetic pleated media captures dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke, bacteria, smog, and dust mite debris
• Activated carbon flat-panel layer adsorbs odorous gases and VOCs to reduce household odors
• Antimicrobial and hypoallergenic filter media inhibits bacterial and mold growth within the filter
• Heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board frame with interior metal mesh support grid bonded to pleats
• Equivalent to MPR 2800 rating for cross-reference with competing filter lines
• Made in the USA; 24 filters per box

Compatibility

Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 18x18x1 nominal filter slots in residential and light commercial forced-air heating and cooling systems. Actual filter dimensions are 17.75 x 17.75 x 0.75 inches; verify the actual opening measurement before ordering, as nominal and actual sizes differ across equipment brands.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or breaker before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with the direction of air movement toward the blower. Because MERV 14 filters impose higher static pressure than lower-rated filters, confirm the system is rated for MERV 14 or above before installation to avoid blower strain or reduced airflow.
