Product Description

The NORDIC PURE 16x25x4M8-1 is a MERV 8 pleated air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It captures airborne particulates as small as 3.0 to 10.0 microns, including lint, household dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, bacteria, and mold spores. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material with built-in antimicrobial and hypoallergenic properties. The frame is a heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board construction with a bonded metal mesh support grid to maintain pleat integrity under airflow. This filter is installed by HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners during routine filter maintenance on forced-air heating and cooling systems.

This filter is sized for systems that call for a nominal 16x25x4 filter slot. The actual dimensions are 15.5 inches by 24.5 inches by 3.63 inches (3 5/8 inches deep), which is the standard actual size for this nominal class. It is suited for residential gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems using a 4-inch filter cabinet or media air cleaner housing. Note: if the existing filter in your system has an actual depth of 4 3/8 inches, such as certain Honeywell or Lennox media cabinets, this filter is not the correct fit. That application requires a 16x25x5 replacement with a 4 3/8 inch actual depth.

Installation Notes

Shut down the HVAC system at the thermostat or disconnect before replacing the filter. Verify the actual slot dimensions in the filter cabinet against the actual size of 15.5 inches by 24.5 inches by 3.63 inches before installation. Install with airflow arrow pointing toward the blower. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months under normal operating conditions, or more frequently during construction, renovation, or high-pollen seasons.
