The NORDIC PURE 16x25x1M12-12 is a 12-pack of pleated MERV 12 air filters designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems, including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. Each filter measures 15.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches actual size in a nominal 16x25x1 footprint. The electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic filter media captures lint, dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, virus carriers, and other airborne contaminants. The heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame maintains structural integrity across typical service intervals. At MERV 12, this filter delivers efficiency comparable to MPR 1500-1900 rated products, making it a strong choice for households with moderate allergy or asthma concerns.
These filters are suited for standard residential furnace and air handler applications as well as light-commercial environments where improved indoor air quality is a priority. The MERV 12 rating means the media captures a high percentage of fine particles including mold spores and fine dust that lower-rated filters pass through. Filter replacement every one to three months is typical, though homes with multiple pets or occupants with respiratory sensitivities may require more frequent changes. The 12-pack format reduces reorder frequency and is well-suited to maintenance contractors managing multiple properties or homeowners on a scheduled filter-change program.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 16x25x1 nominal filter slots in residential and light-commercial forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems. Verify the actual filter slot dimensions against the 15.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inch actual size before installation.
Filter replacement is a routine HVAC maintenance task performed by technicians or qualified homeowners. Always set the thermostat to off and shut down the air handler or furnace before removing the existing filter. Install the new filter with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower, away from the return air duct. Inspect and replace on a one-to-three month cycle, or more frequently in high-dust or high-pet-dander environments.
