The NORDIC PURE 16x24x4M7-6 is a MERV 7 pleated air filter sold in a 6-pack, designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems including central air conditioners and gas or electric furnaces. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures airborne particulates as small as 3.0 microns. The frame is a heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board construction with a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for structural integrity. Lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, and bacteria are captured each time air passes through the media. The antimicrobial, hypoallergenic filter media resists the growth of mold and bacteria within the filter itself. Manufactured in the USA.
This filter is suited for standard residential forced-air systems using a 4-inch filter slot. The nominal size is 16x24x4 inches; the actual size is 15.38 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches, so verify your filter housing dimensions before ordering. MERV 7 performance is equivalent to MPR 600. This rating effectively handles environments with pets, moderate dust loads, and seasonal pollen. The 6-pack format reduces change-out frequency and is practical for service technicians managing multiple units or homeowners on a regular maintenance schedule. Filter replacement every 3 to 6 months is recommended to maintain airflow and system efficiency.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems equipped with a nominal 16x24x4 inch filter slot. Confirm actual housing dimensions against the filter actual size of 15.38 x 23.38 x 3.63 inches before installation.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified homeowners as part of routine preventive maintenance. Power down or set the thermostat to the off position before removing the existing filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating through the system. Note the airflow direction arrow on the filter frame and align it with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Replace filters every 3 to 6 months or more frequently in high-dust or high-pollen environments.
