The NORDIC PURE 16x24x1M12-4 is a MERV 12 pleated air filter sold in a 4-pack for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Each filter measures 15.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inches actual size and fits a 16x24x1 nominal filter slot. The electrostatically charged filter media captures lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, virus carriers, and other airborne contaminants. The moisture-resistant beverage board frame holds its shape under normal system airflow, and the antimicrobial media resists bacterial and mold growth on the filter surface. HVAC technicians and building maintenance professionals routinely install this filter grade in systems serving occupants with moderate allergy or asthma concerns.
This filter is suited for residential forced-air furnaces, central air conditioners, and heat pump air handlers that accept a 16x24x1 nominal filter. At MERV 12, filtration efficiency is comparable to MPR 1500-1900 rated filters sold under other brand rating systems. The 4-pack format supports a full year of quarterly filter changes in a single purchase. It performs well in homes with pets, higher dust loads, or occupants sensitive to airborne particulates, and in light commercial environments requiring enhanced indoor air quality.
Designed as a direct replacement for 16x24x1 nominal size filter slots in residential and light commercial forced-air furnaces, central air conditioners, and heat pump air handlers. Verify actual filter cavity dimensions against the 15.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inch actual size before ordering.
Filter installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Always shut down the air handler or furnace at the system disconnect before removing or installing filters. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Replace filters every 1 to 3 months depending on system runtime, occupancy, and indoor air quality conditions - more frequently in homes with pets or allergy-sensitive occupants.
