The NORDIC PURE 16x20x4M15-6 is a high-efficiency pleated air filter rated MERV 15, sold in a 6-pack for residential and light commercial HVAC applications. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures airborne particulates as small as 0.30 microns. It removes more than 90% of 1.0-10.0 micron contaminants and up to 85% of 0.30-1.0 micron contaminants per pass. The nominal size is 16x20x4 with an actual size of 15.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches. Construction includes a moisture-resistant beverage board frame and a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats. Manufactured in the USA.
This filter is suited for forced-air heating and cooling systems in residential homes and small commercial spaces where high particulate removal is a priority. Common applications include whole-home air handlers, gas furnaces, and central air conditioning systems that accept a 4-inch depth filter slot with a nominal 16x20 face size. MERV 15 performance is equivalent to an MPR 2800 rating, making it appropriate for environments with elevated concerns about allergens, smoke, bacteria, or fine particulate matter. Note: if replacing a Honeywell or Lennox 16x20x4 filter with an actual depth of 4 3/8 inches, the correct replacement is the 16x20x5 (4 3/8 actual depth) model, not this filter.
Designed for HVAC systems that accept a nominal 16x20x4 inch filter with an actual installed size of 15.5 x 19.5 x 3.63 inches. Not a direct replacement for units requiring an actual depth of 4 3/8 inches, such as certain Honeywell and Lennox models that specify the 16x20x5 size.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel. Always shut down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or breaker before opening the filter cabinet and replacing the filter. Confirm the actual filter slot dimensions before installation, as nominal sizing varies by manufacturer and a mismatch in depth can result in air bypass or a damaged filter frame. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months depending on indoor air quality conditions and system runtime.
