The NORDIC PURE 16x16x1M11MiniPleat-3 is a 3-pack of MERV 11 rated Tru Mini Pleat air filters designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Each filter carries a nominal size of 16x16x1 inches with an actual size of 15.75 x 15.75 x 0.75 inches. The mini-pleat media uses 2.5 times more pleats than standard filter designs, increasing usable surface area to capture fine particulates while maintaining acceptable static pressure drop. The frame is a two-part moisture-resistant beverage board construction, and the filter media is self-supporting synthetic polyester fiber. HVAC technicians, IAQ specialists, and facilities maintenance personnel install these filters in forced-air furnace and air handler systems.
These filters are suited for residential forced-air furnaces, central air conditioning systems, and light commercial air handlers where improved particulate capture is required without a significant airflow penalty. Captured contaminants include lint, household dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, smoke particles, virus carriers, and allergens. The MERV 11 rating is equivalent to MPR 1000-1200, making this filter appropriate for environments with occupants who have mild allergy or asthma concerns. Nordic Pure recommends replacement every two to three months depending on occupancy, pet presence, and environmental conditions such as active renovation work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial forced-air furnaces and air handlers that accept a 16x16x1 nominal filter size. Always verify against the actual slot dimensions of 15.75 x 15.75 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual filter sizes frequently differ across HVAC equipment manufacturers.
Power down or set the thermostat to the off position before removing the existing filter to prevent unfiltered air from bypassing the media during the swap. Confirm airflow-direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow into the blower. Filters in high-dust or renovation environments may require replacement more frequently than the standard two-to-three month interval. Dispose of used filters in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.
