The NORDIC PURE 15x20x1PCP-6 is a pure carbon pleated air filter sold in a 6-pack, rated MERV 8, and designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The filter media consists of a non-woven polyester base infused with activated carbon derived from charcoal and coconut shells. This construction allows the filter to capture large airborne particulates while simultaneously absorbing odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at the molecular level. The pleated design delivers three times the carbon media surface area compared to flat-panel carbon filters, maintaining adequate airflow while improving odor control. HVAC technicians and facilities maintenance personnel install these filters in standard 1-inch filter slots.
