The NORDIC PURE 15x20x1M13+C-6 is a MERV 13 Plus Carbon pleated air filter sold in a 6-pack for residential HVAC systems. Each filter combines electrostatically charged, antimicrobial synthetic media with an activated carbon flat panel layer to capture airborne particulates and adsorb odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The actual filter dimensions are 14.5 inches by 19.5 inches by 0.75 inches, fitting a nominal 15x20x1 slot. The heavy-duty frame is constructed from moisture-resistant beverage board with a metal mesh grid bonded to the pleats for structural support. HVAC technicians and homeowners install these filters in forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems to improve indoor air quality and protect equipment.
These filters are suited for residential and light-commercial forced-air systems where both fine particulate control and odor reduction are required. The MERV 13 rating targets lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, smog, virus carriers, and mold spores. The integrated activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and VOCs that standard pleated media cannot capture. They are particularly appropriate for households with pets, allergy sufferers, or environments with elevated odor concerns. NORDIC PURE rates this filter as equivalent to MPR 2200-2400 for cross-reference purposes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light-commercial forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems accepting a nominal 15x20x1 filter. Verify the actual filter opening in the equipment before installation, as actual filter dimensions are 14.5 inches by 19.5 inches by 0.75 inches.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified homeowner following equipment manufacturer guidelines. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the existing filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the replacement filter so the arrow points toward the blower. Nordic Pure recommends replacing these filters every 30 to 90 days, or more frequently during periods of heavy use, home renovation, or elevated particulate conditions.
