The dual-layer media fuses a MERV-rated filtration material with activated carbon to capture airborne particulate while simultaneously adsorbing odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The result is 33 percent more surface area compared to standard pleated designs, which reduces flow restriction while improving odor control. Permanently electrostatically charged media acts as a magnet for airborne particles. The filter frame is constructed from moisture-resistant beverage board reinforced with a bonded metal mesh support grid. Antimicrobial filter media inhibits bacterial and mold growth within the filter itself.
