The NORDIC PURE 14x24x1PM12C-24 is a MERV 12 pleated plus activated carbon air filter sold in a 24-pack, sized nominally at 14x24x1 inches with an actual size of 13.75 x 23.75 x 0.75 inches. The dual-layer media fuses MERV 12-rated filtration material with an activated carbon layer, capturing airborne particulates while simultaneously adsorbing odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The permanently electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic, antimicrobial filter media acts as a magnet for dust and allergens. HVAC technicians and plumbing-mechanical contractors specify this filter for residential and light commercial forced-air systems where both particulate control and odor reduction are required.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial applications using standard 1-inch filter slots in gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems. It performs well in environments with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergies or asthma. The 24-pack quantity is appropriate for multi-unit properties, service contractors stocking customer sites, or homeowners on a regular 30-to-90-day replacement schedule. The activated carbon layer specifically targets smoke particles, lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, and other contaminants common in residential air streams.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement filter for residential and light commercial forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems that accept a nominal 14x24x1-inch filter. Verify the actual filter slot dimensions against the stated actual size of 13.75 x 23.75 x 0.75 inches before ordering.
Filter replacement is a standard HVAC maintenance task performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified building maintenance personnel. Set the thermostat to off and shut down the air handler before removing the existing filter to prevent unfiltered air from entering the system. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient it toward the blower. Replace every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor air quality conditions, occupancy, and pet or renovation activity.
