The NORDIC PURE 14x24x1M7+C-4 is a 4-pack of pleated MERV 7 air filters with an integrated activated carbon layer, sized at a nominal 14x24x1 inches for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that attracts and captures airborne particulates on each pass. A separate flat panel infused with activated charcoal adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), reducing common household odors from cooking, pets, and smoke. The frame is constructed from moisture-resistant beverage board, and a bonded metal mesh grid provides structural support across the pleated media. The antimicrobial media does not support the growth of bacteria or mold. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners install this filter as a scheduled maintenance replacement.
This filter is suited for forced-air residential and light-commercial systems where odor control is a priority alongside standard particulate filtration. Typical applications include gas furnaces, central air conditioning systems, and heat pump air handlers in homes with pets, smokers, or occupants sensitive to airborne allergens. The dual-stage design handles both mechanical filtration of particles and adsorption of gaseous contaminants in a single filter slot. NORDIC PURE MERV 7 performance is rated equivalent to MPR 600, making it a direct performance substitute for filters carrying that MPR designation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated air filter for residential and light-commercial forced-air furnace, air conditioning, and heat pump systems that accept a nominal 14x24x1 inch filter. Verify fit against the actual size of 13.75 x 23.75 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual filter dimensions frequently differ across equipment brands.
Power down the air handler or furnace at the equipment disconnect or thermostat before replacing the filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient it so the arrow points toward the blower, not the return air duct. Nordic Pure recommends replacement every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor air quality conditions, occupancy, and the presence of pets or ongoing construction. More frequent changes are appropriate during home renovation or periods of high pollen or smoke exposure.
