The NORDIC PURE 14x24x1M12MiniPleat-12 is a MERV 12 mini pleat air filter sold in a 12-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including furnaces and air handlers. The actual size is 13.75 x 23.75 x 0.75 inches, fitting filter slots labeled 14x24x1 nominal. The mini pleat design packs 2.5 times more pleats than a standard filter, increasing usable media surface area without reducing airflow. Filter media is self-supporting synthetic polyester fiber, and the frame is a two-part moisture-resistant beverage board construction. At MERV 12, this filter is equivalent to MPR 1500-1900 and captures fine particulates including smoke particles, virus carriers, and mold spores.
This filter is suited for residential forced-air systems and light commercial HVAC applications where air quality demands exceed what a basic MERV 8 filter can provide. It targets lint, household dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, smoke particles, virus carriers, and allergens. Nordic Pure recommends replacing the filter every 2 to 3 months depending on occupancy, pet presence, renovation activity, or local air quality conditions. The 12-pack format supports scheduled filter replacement programs for property managers and service contractors running recurring maintenance routes.
Designed to fit HVAC systems using a nominal 14x24x1 filter slot. Actual installed dimensions are 13.75 x 23.75 x 0.75 inches. Always verify the actual opening dimensions of the filter rack before ordering, as nominal and actual sizes frequently differ across equipment brands.
Filter replacement in forced-air systems is typically performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel. Set the system thermostat to off and confirm the blower has stopped before removing the old filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the replacement filter so the arrow points toward the blower, not the return air duct. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain trapped particulate.
