This construction delivers 33% more surface area than standard pleated filters and reduces airflow restriction compared to thicker multi-layer designs. The activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases, VOCs, smoke, and cooking and pet odors while the pleated MERV 8 media captures airborne particulates.
