The NORDIC PURE 14x18x1M13+C-24 is a MERV 13 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems. The filter combines electrostatically charged synthetic media with a flat activated carbon panel to capture fine airborne particulates while also adsorbing odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Each unit measures 13.5 x 17.5 x 0.75 inches actual size and is sold in a 24-pack. The antimicrobial, hypoallergenic media inhibits bacterial and mold growth within the filter itself. A metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats and a moisture-resistant beverage board frame maintain structural integrity throughout the service life.
This filter is suited for forced-air heating and cooling systems in homes and offices where both particulate control and odor reduction are priorities. Typical applications include systems serving households with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergies. The activated carbon layer addresses smoke particles, VOCs, and common household odors while the MERV 13 media handles dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, bacteria, and lint. The filter is comparable to MPR 2200-2400 rated filters. Replacement is recommended every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor air quality conditions and system runtime.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems accepting a 14x18x1 nominal filter size. Actual dimensions are 13.5 x 17.5 x 0.75 inches. Verify the actual opening size before installation, as nominal and actual filter dimensions commonly differ across equipment brands.
Filter installation and replacement is a standard HVAC maintenance task typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician or a knowledgeable property owner. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame are aligned with system airflow before seating the filter. Replace every 30 to 90 days, or more frequently in high-dust environments or during renovation activity.
