The NORDIC PURE 14x18x1M10-24 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter sold in a 24-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. Each filter measures 13.5 x 17.5 x 0.75 inches actual size with a nominal size of 14x18x1. The electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic filter media captures pollen, smoke particles, pet dander, bacteria, mold spores, virus carriers, and other airborne contaminants on every pass. The heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame holds its shape in high-humidity return-air applications. MERV 10 performance is equivalent to MPR 1000 on proprietary rating scales.
This filter is suited for residential homes and commercial office environments where occupants require improved indoor air quality beyond basic filtration. It is particularly appropriate for spaces with pets, mild allergy sufferers, or environments subject to construction dust and renovation activity. The 24-pack format supports scheduled bulk replacement programs common in property management and multi-unit residential service. ASHRAE standard MERV ratings govern the efficiency classification, providing a consistent benchmark across manufacturers. Filters should typically be replaced every one to three months depending on occupancy, pet presence, and ambient particulate levels.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for any residential or commercial forced-air furnace, air handler, or central air conditioner that accepts a 14x18x1 nominal filter. Verify the actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 13.5 x 17.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ across equipment manufacturers.
Air filter replacement is a routine maintenance task performed by HVAC technicians and qualified building maintenance personnel. Power down the furnace or air handler at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating through the system. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the replacement filter so the arrow points toward the blower. Filters in high-particulate or pet-heavy environments may require replacement more frequently than the standard one-to-three-month interval.
