The NORDIC PURE 14x14x4M10-2 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter sold in a 2-pack, designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures airborne particulates on contact. Each pass through the filter removes lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, and smoke particles. At MERV 10 performance, this filter captures more than 85% of 3.0-10.0 micron contaminants and up to 65% of 1.0-3.0 micron contaminants. The nominal size is 14x14x4 inches with an actual size of 13.5 x 13.5 x 3.75 inches. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners are the primary installers.
This filter is suited for forced-air heating and cooling systems in residential homes and small office environments. It is a strong choice for households with mild allergy concerns or pets, where improved particulate capture over standard fiberglass or poly disposable filters is needed. Nordic Pure MERV 10 is rated equivalent to MPR 1000, making it a direct performance comparison point when cross-shopping filter lines. Filter service life varies based on indoor air quality and surrounding environment. Nordic Pure recommends changing the filter every 3 to 6 months to maintain system efficiency.
Designed as a replacement pleated air filter for standard residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems accepting a nominal 14x14x4 inch filter. Actual size is 13.5 x 13.5 x 3.75 inches. Measure the existing filter slot before ordering to confirm fit, as nominal and actual sizes differ across brands and housings.
Power down or set the thermostat to OFF before removing the old filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating through the air handler. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient it so the arrow points toward the blower. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates. Filter replacement is a standard maintenance task performed by HVAC technicians or qualified homeowners following equipment manufacturer guidelines.
