The NORDIC PURE 14x14x1PM8C-12 is a MERV 8 pleated plus carbon air filter sold in a 12-pack, sized 14x14x1 nominal (actual size 13.75 x 13.75 x 0.75 inches). It uses a dual-layer construction where MERV 8-rated filtration media is fused with an activated carbon layer. The carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) while the pleated media captures airborne particulates. The result is reduced flow restriction and 33 percent more surface area compared to standard single-layer pleated filters. Licensed HVAC technicians and building maintenance professionals install these filters in residential and light commercial forced-air systems.

This filter is suited for residential homes and light commercial spaces where both particulate control and odor reduction are priorities. Common applications include homes with pets, cooking odors, or occupants sensitive to airborne allergens. The activated carbon component targets smoke particles, cooking smells, and pet odors, while the pleated MERV 8 media traps lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, and bacteria. Installation Notes
