The NORDIC PURE 12x25x1M7+C-6 is a pleated MERV 7 air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, designed for residential HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. The filter media is electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures airborne particulates, while a flat-panel activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The actual size is 11.75 x 24.75 x 0.75 inches, fitting nominal 12x25x1 filter slots. This pack contains 6 filters. Installation is straightforward for homeowners and HVAC technicians performing routine filter maintenance.
This filter is suited for residential applications where both particulate capture and odor control are priorities. It targets common household contaminants including lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, mold spores, pet dander, bacteria, and smoke particles. The activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous vapors and VOCs with each air pass, making it appropriate for homes with pets, smokers, or recent renovation activity. It is also used in light-commercial settings such as offices where indoor air quality is a concern. NORDIC PURE rates this filter as equivalent to MPR 600.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard nominal 12x25x1 filter slots in residential and light-commercial forced-air furnace and central air conditioning systems. Verify actual filter slot dimensions before installation, as actual size is 11.75 x 24.75 x 0.75 inches.
A licensed HVAC technician or qualified homeowner can perform this replacement. Turn off the HVAC system at the thermostat before removing the old filter to prevent unfiltered air from circulating during the change. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient it toward the blower, not the return air duct. NORDIC PURE recommends replacing this filter every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air conditions, and more frequently during home renovation or high-pollen periods.
