Each filter combines an electrostatically charged synthetic media with a flat-panel activated charcoal layer. The pleated media captures fine particulates down to the MERV 14 threshold, while the carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The actual filter dimensions are 11.38 x 23.38 x 1.75 inches against a nominal size of 12x24x2 inches. This filter is installed by HVAC technicians and knowledgeable facility maintenance staff in residential and light-commercial forced-air systems requiring both high particulate efficiency and odor control.
