The carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases, vapors, and VOCs while the pleated MERV 10 media captures airborne particulates including dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and smoke particles. The electrostatically charged media acts as a magnet for fine particles, and the antimicrobial treatment inhibits bacterial and mold growth on the filter surface.
