The NORDIC PURE 12x20x2M10-12 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter sold in a 12-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioning units. The filter media is electrostatically charged to capture airborne particles and is manufactured with a hypoallergenic, antimicrobial treatment that resists bacteria and mold growth on the media surface. The heavy-duty beverage board frame is moisture resistant and holds its shape through the full service life of the filter. Nominal size is 12x20x2 inches with an actual size of 11.5 x 19.38 x 1.75 inches. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable building maintenance staff are the typical installers.
This filter is rated at MERV 10, equivalent to MPR 1000, placing it in the range appropriate for households with mild allergy concerns, pet owners, and environments where moderate particulate control is needed. It captures lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, bacteria, mold spores, smoke particles, virus carriers, and other common airborne contaminants. The 12-pack format supports multi-unit installations or provides a full year or more of replacement stock for a single system when filters are changed on a 1-to-3-month cycle. Suitable for both residential homes and commercial office environments where standard forced-air HVAC systems are in use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for any residential or light commercial forced-air furnace or central air conditioning system that accepts a nominal 12x20x2 inch air filter. Verify the actual filter slot dimensions against the stated actual size of 11.5 x 19.38 x 1.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ across filter brands and system manufacturers.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Before replacing the filter, set the thermostat to off and shut down the air handler or furnace at the unit disconnect to prevent unfiltered air from bypassing the slot during the swap. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and align it with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Nordic Pure recommends a replacement interval of every 1 to 3 months depending on occupancy, pet presence, and local air quality conditions.
