The NORDIC PURE 12x20x1M13-2 is a MERV 13 pleated air filter sold in a 2-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioning units. Each filter measures 11.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches actual size with a nominal size of 12 x 20 x 1 inches. The filter media is electrostatically charged and antimicrobial, trapping lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, and smog. The heavy-duty beverage board frame is moisture resistant. Installation is straightforward for HVAC technicians and experienced DIYers.
This filter is suited for residential homes and commercial environments where improved indoor air quality is a priority. It is a strong choice for households with pets, allergy sufferers, or occupants sensitive to airborne particulates. Recommended replacement interval is every 1 to 3 months depending on occupancy, pet presence, and local air quality. For higher-load environments, more frequent replacement intervals should be observed. This filter is manufactured in the USA and carries a MERV 13 rating equivalent to MPR 2200-2400 on proprietary rating scales.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems, furnaces, and central air conditioning units requiring a nominal 12 x 20 x 1 inch filter. Verify actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 11.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual filter dimensions differ.
Installation is typically performed by HVAC technicians or qualified service personnel. Power down the HVAC system at the thermostat and disconnect power at the air handler before replacing the filter. Confirm airflow direction by matching the arrow printed on the filter frame to the direction of airflow into the unit. Replace every 1 to 3 months or more frequently in high-dust or high-occupancy environments.
