The NORDIC PURE 12x16x1M13+C-6 is a pleated MERV 13 air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sized at 12x16x1 inches nominal (actual size 11.5 x 15.5 x 0.75 inches) and sold in a 6-pack. The electrostatically charged synthetic filter media captures fine airborne particulates while the flat-panel activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases, vapors, and VOCs. This combination delivers both mechanical filtration and odor control in a single-pass design. The filter is rated MERV 13, equivalent to MPR 2200-2400, making it a high-efficiency option for residential HVAC systems. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners install this filter in forced-air furnace and air handler applications.
This filter is designed for residential forced-air heating and cooling systems where both particulate removal and odor control are priorities. Typical applications include homes with pets, smokers, allergy sufferers, or high-dust environments. The 6-pack format suits regular 30-to-90-day replacement schedules. The activated carbon element is especially useful in homes with cooking odors, VOC off-gassing from building materials, or smoke infiltration. It is suitable for standard 1-inch filter slots in residential furnaces, air handlers, and central AC systems.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 1-inch residential furnace and air handler filter slots with a nominal size of 12x16x1 inches. Verify the actual filter slot dimensions against the actual size of 11.5 x 15.5 x 0.75 inches before installation, as nominal and actual filter dimensions commonly differ across equipment manufacturers.
Power down the furnace or air handler at the disconnect or thermostat before replacing the filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and install with the arrow pointing toward the blower. Nordic Pure recommends replacement every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor air quality conditions and usage; more frequent changes are appropriate during renovations or high-dust periods. Disposal of used filters should follow local waste handling guidelines.
