The NORDIC PURE 10x30x1PM12C-3 is a MERV 12 pleated plus carbon air filter sold in a 3-pack for residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The filter combines a MERV 12-rated pleated media with a fused activated carbon layer, delivering both particulate filtration and odor control in a single filter. The nominal size is 10x30x1 inches with an actual size of 9.44 x 29.44 x 0.75 inches. Permanently electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic, and antimicrobial filter media captures airborne particles while the activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). A heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board frame and internal metal mesh support grid maintain filter shape throughout the service life.
This filter is suited for forced-air heating and cooling systems in residential homes and light commercial spaces where both particulate control and odor reduction are priorities. Typical applications include systems serving households with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergies or respiratory sensitivities. The MERV 12 rating makes it appropriate for use in standard 1-inch filter slots where higher-efficiency filtration is desired without significant static pressure penalty. NORDIC PURE recommends replacing the filter every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions and activity levels such as home renovation work.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 1-inch filter slots accepting a 10x30x1 nominal-size filter in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems. Actual filter dimensions are 9.44 x 29.44 x 0.75 inches - verify the actual opening size before installation rather than relying solely on the nominal label.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified homeowners. Always shut down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction and install the filter with the directional arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulate. Replace every 30 to 90 days under normal operating conditions.
