The NORDIC PURE 10x24x1M8-3 is a three-pack of MERV 8 pleated air filters designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including central air conditioners and gas or electric furnaces. Each filter uses electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic, antimicrobial filter media housed in a moisture-resistant beverage board frame. At MERV 8, these filters capture lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, bacteria, and other airborne contaminants on every pass through the air handler. The nominal size is 10x24x1 inches with an actual size of 9.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inches. MERV 8 is equivalent to the MPR 800 rating scale used by some other manufacturers.
These filters suit residential homes and light commercial spaces where occupants deal with pet dander, seasonal pollen, or general dust loads. They are a practical upgrade over standard fiberglass filters, offering better particle capture without significantly restricting airflow in most residential systems. Regular replacement every one to three months is recommended, with more frequent changes advised in homes with pets or allergy sufferers. Always verify the actual slot dimensions in your unit before ordering, since nominal filter sizes typically differ from actual dimensions.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement pleated filter for residential and light commercial forced-air furnace and central air conditioning systems accepting a 10x24x1 nominal filter size. Confirm actual slot clearance against the 9.5 x 23.5 x 0.75 inch actual dimensions before installation.
Filter replacement is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified homeowners during routine maintenance. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient the replacement so the arrow points toward the blower, not the return air duct. Follow local codes and the equipment manufacturer's recommended maintenance intervals.
